As you may or may not know, the Art Forum here on Newgrounds is involved in creating a scrolling shooter type of game as a collaborative project. We are creating levels based on several themes each level will have a team of artists making the art and concepts for the level.

HERE is the discussion thread for the game.

The themes for the levels are as follows:

1) Steampunk level
2) Surreal level
3) Flash portal/Newgrounds level
4) Postapocalyptic level
5) Cyberpunk level
6) Cell/inside the human body level

If you are interested in participating in this project please post a reply to this news post and include your first and second choice for the theme you would like to work with. YOU MAY NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE TEAM OF YOUR CHOICE, depending on how many people sign up to work on which theme.

Once we have the teams sorted out a team leader will be assigned, the team leader will decide who needs to do what task.

Please only post if you are serious in working on this project and if you will have enough time to do the work you agree to do.

Sign ups end on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at 11:59 PM Newgrounds time (Eastern Standard Time).

Hello everybody!

First off, my choices are:
1. Surreal level.
2. Cell/inside the human body level
I don't know if anybody recognizes, but I really like drawing pictures.
I don't have Flash, and my Photoshop is fairly old, but with a combination of real life drawings, the line tool in Paint.NET, and coloring in Photoshop, I can make pictures that could possibly be used as backgrounds or something.
I wont be offended if you guys can't use me, but I'd love to help!

I just might not be too good on cyberpunk or steampunk, it's not really my area of expertise.

In regards to surreal, I think I have a rather vivid imagination and I'm sure I can think of some crazy stuff to create. Also, I love The Beatles XD
In regards to Cell/Human body, I am a man of science, majoring in genetics, minoring in cell biology, so I have a fairly strong grasp of inner workings of the body, so I can use my scientific background to our advantage.

Second choice: Surreal

Both choices are great.
Surreal is good that you can draw almost everything, but in some special style.

Skills: I can make characters, I use flash for art and animations.
I make nice drawinsg , but im not so good in shading.

Oh geez, Captain-Ben told me about this but I didn't realize the deadline was yesterday. I would love to do the Surreal Level, although I'd settle for the Postapocalyptic level if you still want/need artists.
